
Jim’s feature film credits include producer of film,
SweetLand, for which he received the 2007 Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature. His other feature film credits include
Great Expectations, Jeepers Creepers, Bad Boys, Body Heat as well as the hit TV series,
Saturday Night Live, and other independent films. Some of his documentary credits include Academy-nominated,
Chasing the Dream, produced for Turner Network, several documentaries produced for the Hallmark Channel, and three documentaries running permanently in the New World of Coca-Cola Museum. Jim’s made-for-TV films include several music videos and the first Live Rock Concert behind the Iron Curtain in the late 80′s. He has produced hundreds of TV commercials in the U.S. and worldwide. Recently Jim finished working as UPM on Steven Soderbergh’s latest film,
Magic Mike, to be released in 2012. Prior to this, Jim was UPM on the 2011 feature film,
DolphinTale. Jim’s most recent documentary project,
For Once In My Life, which he both produced and directed, has won 5 Audience Awards including SXSW, and 6 other jury awards both domestically and internationally. The film also won the International Documentary Association’s Award for the Best Musical Documentary in 2010. Jim is a graduate of the London Film School and currently lives in Miami with his wife, Cathy, and their daughter, Julianna, and is an adjunct professor teaching a course in Independent Film at the University of Miami.
